Imagine Port Washington may seem small from the outside, but there is nothing small about the learning, love and community building happening on the inside!
With a nurturing, qualified and experienced staff on board serving children ages 2 months to 5 years, we strive to create a family-like atmosphere where children gain self-confidence and life skills for their future education. Parents are active members of our school community, helping us to plan center events and activities and connecting us to family and community resources. When you visit us, it is easy to see that good things really do come in small packages!

Hours of Operation:
We are open 52 weeks a year, Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to
6:30 p.m. for Full-time and Part-time care.

Facilities:
We are a small, cozy center with three classrooms, a wonderful on-site playground with age-appropriate climbing equipment and safety surfacing, and children’s gardening areas. Our center is conveniently located within walking distance of the Long Island Railroad.

We are licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and endorsed by Eco-Healthy Childcare.

Special Activities:
We frequently take advantage of local resources by visiting the North Shore Animal League and playing at Unlimited Sports Action. All children participate in ‘Fitness Fun’ and Music Education programs. We are located within walking distance of the fire and police departments, where the children enjoy visiting and learning from hands-on safety demonstrations. Our school participates in local charity fundraising, such as a food drive and collecting toys for a nearby children’s hospital during the holidays.
