Kids for Kids

At Imagine, we create inclusive environments that emphasize empathy, promote cultural awareness, and inspire our kids.

Our

Kids for Kids Curriculum

Seeks to foster happy and creative classroom environments, while helping children grow, develop important skills, and learn. about the people, communities, and cultures of the world.

In conjunction with our nonprofit Imagine Kids for Kids, this curriculum helps kids experience both what’s near and what’s far. We build on in-class activities and books and connect our students with real-life experiences. We work with schools across the world to introduce our students to their global peers, we learn about those who are in need of help and we host fun-raisers to raise awareness and money for those in need.

Multicultural paints, butcher block paper, multicultural books (i.e.The Color of Us, BrownEyes, Brown Skin, I Like Myself), mirror or a friend’s face

Instructions for the Activity

1. Discuss with the children about their friends (similarities and differences) modeling.
2. Partner children with their friends.
3. Have children blend the paints according to their friends.
4. Always use language and pictures to help children grasp the concepts.

Cultivating Kindness and Celebrating Diversity

Knowing that our children are growing up in a society that is still not free of intolerance, we are updating our Kids for Kids curriculum to more fully emphasize diversity, inclusivity, fairness, and justice. Families will see our Kids for Kids Purple Heart initiatives reflected in the classroom severy day, inspiring our children to become open-minded, kind people. Children earn purple hearts as a symbol of their kindness to their classroom and school communities.

Current Fun-Raiser: Dance-a-thon

Right now, our students are working to raise money to support their friends in Kibera, Kenya. With the money we raise, we provide a food program for the children at the DFC school in the Kibera slums. We will host our main fun-raiser, our Dance-A-Thon on April 10th. All Imagine centers will be dancing the day away while getting sponsored by our families.
