Enrichment
At Imagine, we approach education with intention – ensuring every day offers kids new exciting opportunities that let them explore and grow in new ways.
At we learn new languages
Music & Sounds
Our BLOOMING curriculum’s “Nurturing Curiosity” module focuses on all things creative. During our enrichment programming, we give children the opportunity to get creative with sound and dance. In addition to daily experiences in music, singing, rhythm, and sound, special music classes are conducted by local musicians which include special instruments, songs, fingerplays, and musical education instruction
We also love to use sound to explore the world. Whether that is listening to the voices of animals, immersing ourselves in a rainforest to see what we recognize, or experiencing other cultures through the music and instruments they play..
Dance & Creative Movement
Dance is a regular part of the classroom curriculum and is taught by classroom staff and dance and movement professionals. Our dance classes emphasize multiculturalism and free expression. Yoga, Zumba, and African dance are some favorites. We have even been lucky enough to learn from Broadway performers!
Some of our best moves are on display during our annual Imagine Kids for Kids dance-a-thon fun-raiser!
Yoga & Meditation
We are all about Mindful Movement at Imagine. Our enrichment programming features yoga classes hosted by Yogi Beans, which focuses on letting kids get to know their bodies and using yoga as a way to both get the sillies out and find calm. Many of our yoga classes also feature kid-friendly meditation, which focuses on breath as a channel for self-soothing (at any age!) and emotional regulation.
Theater
Children need places to let their imagination thrive loudly on stage! Our classrooms are outfitted with costumes, make believe play, and more that gives them this opportunity everyday but we think bigger. That is why we love theatrical play. Working with partners like Child’s Play, we give children stories they recognize and some that are new to act through together. Parent’s are given their own supplemental classes to understand the value of theatrical play and figure out ways to continue what they learn at home!
Environmental Science and Nature Exploration
As part of Imagine’s Our Earth Our Home curriculum, we dedicate special enrichment activity to programming that teaches children about the world around them – how it works, how to take care of it, and how to appreciate it. Our enrichment activities focus on activities that get them to see nature everywhere, no matter where they live, and to understand how it works. Programming includes a circle time element focused on a lesson about the earth, with an activity that gets their little hands dirty – outdoor gardening, indoor hydroponics, nature walks, pollinator creation, to name just a few.
Language Programs
Our BLOOMING curriculum is rounded out by our focus on Growing Language.
Imagine staff, parents, and contracted professionals help Imagine children learn in various foreign languages in the classroom, including American Sign language. With different language focuses across our centers, we understand the power of new language and new ways of expression at any age.
Field Trips
Trips are based on classroom curriculums year round and include visits to the local fire stations, zoo, planetarium, botanical gardens, plays and puppet shows, farms, and apple picking.
We are always open to exciting new opportunities as well! Reach out to [email protected] if you have ideas.
Summer Programs
During the summer months we add new ‘camp’ programs to our regular enrichment activities. Summer Camp takes our foundation of strong enrichment and adds a heavy dose of summer magic – time outdoors, water play, melting school-made popsicles – while maintaining our commitment to best-in-class safety and educational quality.
The programs includes outdoor sports, water play, karate, park programs and picnics, chess, themed days like Pajama Day, along with seasonal outdoor field trips. Summer Camp brings the best of our commitment to enriching educational experiences outdoors.
Community Advocacy
We’re not just an early childhood education and child care provider – we’re an essential part of our community. As part of Imagine Kids for Kids, we are constantly finding ways to get to know and do more for our neighbors. This might mean regular visits to our local businesses, getting to know the service people in our area, and making ourselves known in the neighborhood through window decorations, card drop offs, fun-raiserers and working with our local representatives. Att Imagine, we believe that a child can do more and feel great about their place in their community.
