Lia Broomes-Currie graduated from Teacher’s College, Columbia University with a Master’s in Early Childhood Education and a focus in Curriculum and Teaching. She has spent the last 16 years of her career creating and implementing curriculum under several different Early Childhood Education Philosophies. Lia has a demonstrated ability to transform classrooms into successful spaces for learning, exploration and growth, with a wide range of experience from infants to third grade. 

Lia has supervised, mentored, developed and led teachers for almost a decade and continues to promote high standards in education within safe, fun and engaging early childhood environments.

Outside of the classroom you can find Lia playing tennis with her husband and daughter, enjoying vegan meals, sharing stories about her childhood in Barbados, marketing her artisan soap business and singing karaoke.
